As I was driving down the road the other day, I passed by a woman who was eating her dinner as she drove down the highway. Now, you would not think that is so unusual, but she was doing her makeup at the same time. As she was doing all of this, she even managed to keep her car on the road while still avoiding an accident. It is mind boggling to me how people can drive and do five other activities at the same time. The habits of some drivers can be very dangerous, but also interesting to see.
Last week, for example, I was driving down the highway and all of the sudden a car came up next to me. I glanced over to see if it was somebody I knew. It was not anybody I knew, but it was a man driving with his left foot up on the dashboard. Now, I have seen some pretty interesting things, but nothing like this.
There are some people in my family that are guilty of some strange driving habits. For instance, when my mom drives down the road it seems like she is doing everything else in the world besides driving. She will fidget with the radio, look for her grocery list in a pile of papers, and even balance her checkbook as we are going down the road. My grandma will put on some lipstick, take out her curlers, and sometimes she will even study Italian as she is driving.
Then there are the people that park in two parking spaces. I do not think they realize that the lines are there to distinguish between two different spaces, for two different cars.
