Never give up
Grandson number two received a Unicycle for Christmas 2007.
He could not even sit on it and be balanced for about a week.
One month after Christmas, as recorded in my visual diary, he could ride for about 30 meters.
Two months later, he can sit on it and turn the pedals and ride for about 100 meters.
He can rabbit hop on it and just this evening, he went down some uneven stone steps and did not fall off.
The thing is, he kept trying to get that balance -- he would not give up no matter how many falls he took.
And every day, he goes a bit further. He gets better and better at it.
I am trying to make one entry each day in an ordinary lined diary that I have labeled a 'visual diary'. It will take a lot of determination, but so far I have almost 60 entries, one for each day in 2007. I glued photos in the diary, and sometimes, like this picture of Dwight, I draw with felt pens and color in with pencils.
Whatever we want to do in life, takes balance and perseverance.
Keep on keeping on!!

Our greatest weakness lies in giving up. The most certain way to succeed
is always to try just one more time.
- Thomas A. Edison
Edison failed 10,000 times before he made the electric light.
