Woke up early today to go to Robinson's Place Ermita. I've been meaning to join the Body Combat class at Fitness First. It's tai chi, karate and kickboxing all rolled into one -- kinda similar to tae bo.
It's my first time to try it and I was lost a couple of times! But I finally got the groove and I had fun! =) It helped a lot that the trainer -- Randy Rosel -- was awesome! He was -- hmm, what's the word -- good at motivating people. He made the newbies like me feel that we can do it like the pros!
However, I got to a point where I thought I would never see the end of the class (it was one hour and a quarter long)...what with my lips feeling a bit sticky already, and my heart pumping, and the shortness of breath! I felt faint, hungry, dehydrated and hyperventilated -- too smart of me to have only half a bowl of cereal for breakfast and I forgot to bring my water jug too! What a nutcase huh?
It was really difficult but liberating! It feels exhilarating! I feel like a totally empowered woman now! I have a feeling I'll get addicted to this...I can't wait to do it again!
