Hi! My name is Uday and I love music! I cannot live without it…especially rock. I play some instruments as well but my favorites are the guitar and the keyboard.
I listen a lot to music at home on my computer but I always wanted to go to a concert where I could see all the stars with my own eyes. Well, this wish finally came true at my guitar class. You'd be thinking how…well this is how it went!
It was 4:30 that evening and I was winding up my study stuff because I had to go for my guitar class, which started at 5:00 p.m. I went downstairs and I shouted aloud, “Bye mama! I'll be back by 6:15.” I sat in the car and I was off to the class with the driver. I reached there and greeted Paul Sir and Ondry Sir (my teachers… they are brothers). You must be familiar with Paul Sir (he was the music teacher in the junior wing!). Ok let's carry on. I started practicing my lesson for the day. At 5:30 Ondry Sir said, “Chalo guys now pack up.” I was surprised (the class is usually over at6:00) until Paul Sir said, “We're going for the “Rotary Heart Line Rock Concert. And you people are also coming!” I was about to jump out of my seat! I was actually going for a rock show where Indian Ocean and Parikrama (they're two fantastic Indian rock bands) were going to perform! I called up my mom from Ondry Sir's phone and said, “Mom. I'll be late. We're going for a concert!” We packed up our stuff and sat in our cars and followed the two Sirs' car to the Leisure Valley. We reached there and had the seats of which the passes were most expensive. We did not have any passes. Luckily, at that time, the sound test was going on and nobody was on check so we just went and sat there. The concert started at 7:00 p.m. Two college (local) bands performed first. They weren't very impressive. And then came Indian Ocean. They play Sufi songs. They were mind blowing! What a fantastic performance they gave and the crowd roared after every song! There were four members in their band- one guitarist, one drummer, one tabalchi (also vocalist) and one bassist (also vocalist). After them it was time for the hard rock Parikrama. They had nine members- four guitarists, one violinist, one drummer, one percussion assistant, one guy one the key board and on singer. They were like a bomb! They were awesome!
I came back home at nine that night with a rocking soul and a very satisfied mind. I'd love to go for other concerts also. I missed the Rock Idols this year but I'll be going for another rock concert on Friday!
