Most of my friends and family has seen an incredible about face in which I am today than whom I was in the many yesterdays. This testimony is about my witnessing for the Lord Jesus Christ and the understanding that He has laid on my heart, so to share with anyone and everyone who is willing to listen and learn also from.
As a child of God, we are all called to share the Gospel of Jesus Christ with the rest of the world. While I cannot judge my fellow brothers and sisters in Christ for what they are doing or what they are not doing for the Kingdom of God, I can share this testimony of how God has opened my eyes, ears and mind to understanding what God wants for my life.
Usually, my day consist of fellowshipping with the Lord in prayer and through learning and studying His Word that is contained in the Holy Bible. Seeking new opportunities to witness for Him and to those He leads me to or to those people He leads to me. It doesn't always go as smoothly as I would like it to, but God has reminded me all too often, that not everyone will want to receive the truth and for those that do the road will not be easy, but I need to stick it out with them, so that they don't turn back to the darkness that the easy way provides.
Just the other day, I was lead to witness to a couple of friends who have expressed one-time or another that God has provided many ways to get to heaven and that all people will go to heaven. Normally, I would quickly start debating the issues, but this time God restrained my mouth and had me listen as they continued to spout out one falsehood after the other.
The conversion that was at this time a one-way conversion, because I remained quietly listening as the Lord God had instructed me to be. After about an hour or so, my friends realized that I hadn't spoken a single word in response to what they were saying and that to them was something very different than what they have come to expect from me. See, the thing is, debating only leads to arguing and arguing leads to nowhere.
Curiously, my friends stopped speaking and signed to me to share my thoughts on the subject and this is what happened next.
Trusting in the Lord Jesus Christ to guide the response and the words that are used, I started by telling them that what they had stated was completely misguided and that isn't what the Bible teaches. Next, I shared with them that the Bible explicitly teaches more than 400 times, that Jesus Christ is the only way to receive forgiveness for your sins and salvation from the eternal fires of Hell.
Before, I could say another word, my friends exploded at me for daring to tell them about Hell. They attempted to use this subject to steer this conversation into an argument, but I stood silent until they had finished. Without skipping a beat, I picked up where I had left off and told them that I would not teach or for a better word “warn” them about Hell, if God had not first warned us that Hell does exists and that all who have chosen not to repent and receive Jesus Christ as their savior will be sentenced to an eternity in Hell and apart from God, forever.
I continued to share with them, that salvation is a gift with no strings attached that God Himself is wanting them to have and all they need to do is accept it, to receive it. Yes, of course, they said that was too easy and that there must be more that is required, because nothing is free.
Responding, I explained that Jesus Christ (God) paid the price for this gift to be given with His life, burial and resurrection. He did this, so that we could be forgiven for our sins and receives everlasting life with Him. For neither they nor I had to pay the price for the gift, so receiving it is free for us by the Grace of God.
See, we are weak and Satan the enemy of God knows how to distort the truth. Satan uses the flawed logic of that so many of us humans believe to be superior to everything else to mislead the masses. Believing in God and accepting the gift of salvation comprises of two things, 1) spiritual intelligence and 2) faith. These are the two areas that those without the dwelling of Jesus Christ living in their hearts will be unable to understand.
