Today’s world cannot survive without the mobile phone. I think it is one of the best gifts of technology to mankind in the twentieth century. Now almost everybody carries a mobile phone with him or her. The Nokia Company says that by 2009, there will be 3 billion mobile users in the world.
The mobile phone has become an integral part of our lives today. In my case if I don’t find my cell in my pocket at any point of time I frantically search for it. This is a gadget, which has the maximum users than any other gadgets. I remember when I was a kid, people used to wonder to see a cell phone. Even after my post graduation in 1997 mobile users were very less in India. The prices were also very high and not quite affordable for the middle or lower middle class people of India. But after 2001 and 2002 the number of mobile users just shot up enormously.
I bought my first mobile phone in 2004. And it was a second hand buy. Now in 2008, I am holding the fourth one that I bought recently. Today even we can find a rickshaw puller with a cell phone.
I was just thinking, why is it so popular? Why has it the maximum number of users? Why not any other gadgets? I got all my answers when I assessed all the benefits that I get from this small gadget. The benefits are as follows:
Easy & Personal Connectivity: Whenever I need something from a place that I cannot go or access my mobile phone comes into the picture. My mobile phone is very much my personal. Anybody who wants to talk to me has to dial my cell number only. All these processes are very easy to operate. We reach each other in a span of seconds by the use of the cell phones. Even we do not have to dial a number.
Leisurely Entertainment: When I am alone and want to relax a bit, I play the games that are in my mobile. The mobile games are very attractive and easy to play. It gives enjoyment and makes me relaxed.
Makes Me Organized: I like my cell phone the most because of its organizer. ‘To do list’, ‘Memo Pad’, ‘Countdown’, ‘Calculator’, ‘Alarm’, ‘Unit Converter’, ‘Stopwatch’, etc. are so essential and helpful I really cannot explain.
Meaningful SMSs: A personalized message gives me such an encouragement when I am sad, I can’t express. SMS works as a stress reliever. SMS helps in romance also. Whenever I send a personal love SMS to my wife, she gets really excited and thrilled. A sweet and inspiring SMS can really build and develop relationship.
Other Benefits: All the above benefits are very common, minimum and available in all the mobile phones but there are some other benefits that we get from expensive mobile phones are e-mail, camera, Java, MMS, video, voice recorder etc.
Mobile phone is a great help to mankind. It is a mixture of a Telephone, Organizer, Pager & lot more. But if we do not use it properly it can be very dangerous. It can cause various skin diseases because of harmful rays that it fetches. If we speak on our cell phones while driving a vehicle we may meet accidents. There are many events of pornographic scandals through cell phones. These events can be avoided if we are aware of its proper usability.
yes indeed thats true, now a days it has become a necessary for a minor to use a mobile phone. The prices are reducing day by day........... hence its a medium of entertainment,thanx to the technology............. please wright some more intresting stufs....... as this..........

Watevr u hv mentioned is absolutely true.New technolgies has indeed hepled us people a lot..Cell phns especially..n as the saying goes tat excess of evrythng is bad,so we should try to contrl it. one more thing whn we tk a call or make a call we should alwz put d cell in our right ear n not left,bcoz left is closer 2 our heart n a nerve connectng 2 our brain which will get damaged...
