As I drive home from work everyday in a hot car, I still can't believe how much gas prices has gone up. The public out cry for lower gas prices has been ignored time after time. So high gas prices has brought me to a point where I'm ready to go on a no gas strike like one of my coworkers and many other Americans has suggested. A day where we stand up against our government and gas corporations to say we aren't having it anymore. Usually after work I find myself unable to leave the house because of this issue. I put about 3.5 gallons into my car each day with the handle on E when I make it to work each morning. Thank God for ten hour work days!
Instead of us complaining to family, friends, and strangers it's time to take a stand. Watching the news every morning hoping for a half price special or lining up a gas station ten cents cheaper then the others isn't going to do it. Gas prices around the city I live in went from 3.99 to 4.19 in a week. That's a twenty cent difference in a day. I don't know about the rest of you but at this rate I can't afford it. Maybe if I made one hundred thousands dollars a year gas prices would be the least of things I was concerned with. But like many other Americans I don't. Let's stand up together and demand change from the government we formed. I'm ready when you are.
