This is from personal encounters.
Ok I know Valentine's Day is coming up and all, but what I am about to say might sound bad that I might say this, but there should be a holiday for those who HATE Valentine's Day. I know hate is a strong word, but I need a word stronger to describe my dislike and resentment for Valentine's Day. Maybe someone might come along and change my mind or maybe give me a reason to change my HATE for Valentine's Day to a small DISLIKE for it, but when you have broke up with one ex on Valentine's Day, and met an ex on the same holiday ... not on the same day, just the same damn holiday, you may understand why I hate the holiday, or anything that reminds me of the day completely.
So maybe the following suggestion might be a good one for people who hate this Holiday as much as I do. The suggestion, as crazy as it sounds, is break up with you significant other around Thanksgiving, and if you have someone who is crazy enough to go through with this, get back together somewhere around February 20th or maybe the first part of March, preferably the latter part. That way, you can not have to worry about gifts and other special stuff for not just Valentine's Day but Christmas, and if their birthday falls in that time span, that day too.
Maybe because of what I have experienced, I think that the person responsible for creating this holiday should be drug out into the streets, beaten profusely between his head and shoulders, and every February 14th, the same thing should be done to them again. However someone might read this and say "That's why you by yourself!!!” And when they say this, I hope like hell they know that I am not the only person who is thinking this way, and they are many of us who have this perspective. So to any woman that I may encounter in my future as it pertains to a relationship, keep this prospective in mind. Maybe this thought will change.....eventually, just not right now, unless somebody has some kind of magic spell that she has not fully implemented yet.
SO Happy Valendoom's Day to all people who for now hate Valentine's Day like I do.
