A Thousand Deaths

Imagine being forced into a life you never wanted, losing the one you love?

Frequent Tropical rains with the gushy winds disrupted normal life of Kolkata just like every Monsoon that had passed by. Ruma took an umbrella and carrying a long list of grocery went to a budget Bazaar nearby. She was tired and bored of being locked indoor for almost two weeks and now before every meal she cooked she felt the need of having a better stock of vegetables and spices.

She barely managed to get the grocery she needed when it suddenly turned dark and she felt the need to return home immediately. Her home didn't fascinate her any longer. The 700 sq feet apartment was her paradise just a couple of years back. Now she couldn't believe what had made her so excited about buying an apartment or why she had sleepless nights planning and decorating every corner of it.
