All Through Time

This was written in 1994, I was 16. I was one of the outcast amongst my peers as I chose to buck the system. This poem is about the continuity of destructive ways that do not serve humanity.

Beautiful maidens bathe in pools filled with crystals -
The tranquil waters of youth replenishing their bodies.
Lives of complicated simplicity.
Wizards work on their ensnaring spells -
To reach a perfection beyond "the creation of man".
Lives of simple complication.
Kings send out their all-ruling commands -
To bring insurmountable power unto themselves.
Lives of greedy lust.
Dragons fire melts the metal armour -
Of warriors sent on a death mission.
Lives of lusty naivety.
And so these moments continue...
....All Through Time.
