Actually this whole little rhyme is old and played out, and racist against blacks in itself. Look at the grammar, it implies that african americans are uneducated and still speak like slaves from the 1800's. This is crap....written probably by a white racist who doesn't even know he's racist.

nope. your heart might be in the right place but I am not convinced this is a poem. Or that the message goes anywhere. Reminds me of "roses are red, violets are blue" which isn't a poem either.

Genetically, any given person is only .2% different than someone else. Further more, racial differences are only 6% of the .2% of all the genetic differences. That works out to someone of different race being genetically different by only .012%.

Everyone is the same color. I'll go ahead and say that again, everyone is the same color. The difference isn't the pigment in our skin, it's just the shade of the skin. Melanin (sp?) is what gives the homosapian it's pigment, and the amount of melanin gives a lighter or darker shade.

I'm just saying, genetically speaking, only one race exist. We view each other different because we've been taught to view each other differently, but genetically, we're pretty much the same.

Why can't we just get over all the non-essential crap like skin color, hair color, eye color and get down to the real issues like ending homelessness and poverty. It can be done. How about not letting guilty murderers go free within our corrupt judicial system. How about teaching our children important stuff like reading, writing and arithmatic instead of letting them watch the world wrestling federation kick the crap out of each other (for real or for show). How about solving real human issues instead of continuing to pretend the color of our skin is so incredibly important. It is the mind and the human condition tht is truly important!!!

Racism is stupid. I either like or dislike someone for what they are. If you happen to be black, and I don't like you, it's because you've made me not like you. If you happen to be white and I like you, it's because I like you. And besides, people have the colors all wrong. They're brown, lighter brown, and offwhite/peach. There is no yellow, Asian people aren't yellow. That's always bugged me lol.

We're divided by race. That is a fact. It's OK to be divided as long as we can educate ourselves to have some respect for eachother. We're divided by economic class. This is the real murder for us working people. Those that profit from our daily routines work very hard to keep us as stupid and racist as possible. That's their game, and we're suckers for it to this very minute.

All white people are horrible racists? That comment alone, makes YOU a 'horrible racist' yourself. By suggesting that characteristics, and attitudes are the subjective rule to an entire group of people based on race, is the DEFINITION of racism. So, enjoy being a hypocrite.

This ain't from Malcolm.I think this dude changed it here and there but the original is way better. Anyway in this day and age when all we can focus on is a man's skin ( don't tell me it's a non issue)it seems appropriate enough. it's 2008 and all we can focus on is Barracks skin color. Like Sgt Arms says, we are divided by race and that is a fact!. It just looks like most of the people offended by it are white folks. Years of systematic oppressions by the whites and it's still going on in the ghettos of America!!

Maybe if it was written in better English I'd appreciate it... but I don't.

This poem is not to put any race under of above any other, i believe this poem expresses the insignificance of color period..everyone has colors, not only the black race....i believe that was the poem's initial intent,,,

I think the intent of this piece was humorous. The problem is ... it's difficult to accept that as the motivation without knowing the author. I just wonder why they thought this was relevant at this time. Trying to swing that tired, old clock backwards? Don't know, but questionable.

Young or old, the poem is really racist! I'm sick of everyone talking about black/white/purple...we are all human beings. Get over it already!
