Foolish

That light, happy feeling that we all feel around that special someone.

I try to speak
But my tongue refuses
As I get lost in your eyes
You just stranding there
Is my wits demise

I’m so foolish
When it comes to you
I live in my romantic fantasies
Ignoring what is real
In favor of what I wish to see.

I know I overreact
Exploring so many adventures
Inside my head
Neverending possibilities
Of what might be said.

I’m so foolish
To carry on
This way
But I feel new emotions
Each and every day.

Maybe you know me
But probably you don’t
But I know you
And maybe someday
You’ll know me too.
