For a Second

Have you experienced trying to recall the face of someone you love but the harder you tried the more difficult it seemed to catch a glimpse of his or her face in your memory? It is a very sad thought isn't it? And you'll wish that you'll see his or her face again even for a second just to have the chance to remember what he or she looked like. Just for a second.

Thoughts mere fleeting.
So difficult to hold.
Fleeing. Fleeing.
Fleeting away.
Can't even catch a glimpse.
Confused.
Nervous.
Uncertain.
What?
Where are you?
Let me see your face.
Just a quick glance.
Please.
Wait!
Don't go.
I beg you.
Please don't hide.
Just let me see your face.
For a second.
A second.
Please!
A second.
And all eternity will be lost.
A second.
I need to see your face.se
I need to remember.
Your face.
Your face.

This is very touching. It brought tears to my eyes. My father passed almost 10 years ago and I see his face in many people I meet everyday. Very beautifully written!
