How Could He?

A poem about the pain a father brings.

Here he is once again
out of no where
Why has he been so...
..neglectful

So long ago he walked away
from a child with tear soaked eyes
with nothing to say; gone are
the hopes of a young girl

Now he wants her to
forgive all the pain he caused
her to go through during
her life

He tries to be dad, but
he knows nothing about the
woman she is, inside and out

After appearing out of nowhere
he disappears into thin air

How could he cause her all
this pain as if it were nothing?
How could he not love his
own daughter?
