I Speak of a Girl

A love poem.

I speak of a girl
Of whom I’ve known only for a short while
She has shown me friendly compassion
And drives me wild

I speak of a girl
So beautiful and sweet
She can make boys and men alike
Grovel at her feet

I speak of a girl
Who is trusting buy not naïve
She knows whom to trust
And those that deceive

I speak of a girl
Do you know who
Because in all truth
The girl is you
