God created the world
then created the devil to blame for his mistakes
Such mistakes that could have been prevented
but now cannot be forgotten.
If the Jews were the groom, then fire was the bride
And for some, after the victims had been cleared away,
Claimed it was a closed chapter in the book of life.
The mistakes of yesterdays horrors created the world of today.
Horrors many wish hadn't taken place.
From the fires of Auschwitz
During Hitler's reign of fear,
To the screaming cries of innocence lost
During the genocide in Rwanda;
It's clear that in this world, and worlds of the past,
There is someone in power who thinks he is more right,
More right than all the people who put them there.
So inside these blood stained memories
Can one individual honestly be classified
As the abomination and scum of the land
The powerful ego trip sent to the brain of such individuals
Outmatched the fear inflected to the victims.
The devils of yesteryear
Hold an influence in the serial killers,
The cult killing leaders, the supposed prophets of God himself.
Many put this fact in the back of the mind
and say "that was then, this isn't."
