I'm Going on a Diet Tomorrow

A humorous poem which all dieters can relate to... going on a diet, tomorrow, not today.

I'm going on a diet tomorrow.
I just can't do it today.
There are too many goodies in front of me
Blocking the way.

The simmering cinnamon rolls are calling.
The brown delicious gravy is beckoning too.
I'll go on a diet tomorrow
Today is almost through.

Tomorrow is always the day to begin a diet.
You have to plan ahead.
Write down all the calories and menus
Do exactly what the doctor said.

Tomorrow is the day I will begin.
Now my plate of ice cream and cake is no sin.
I "ll have one day a month to indulge myself.
And be a glutton instead of starve like an elf.

I"ll be diligent and watchful tomorrow.
I'll fasten my cravings seat belt.
I'll say "No" to every temptation.
Putting all my desires on the shelf.

Yes, tomorrow I'm going on a diet.
I hope and pray I can make it through the night.
I've eaten so much today I can hardly sleep.
So tomorrow will be just right!
