Love From Afar

Written from the perspective of Hinata Hyugga from the manga Naruto.

From afar I watched you grow,
from afar I watched you go.
From afar I watched you win,
from afar can be a sin.

From afar I stood in the dark,
watching from behind trees in the park.
From afar I loved you so,
but your feelings for me did not grow.

From afar my eyes cried heart
waiting for your love to start.
From afar I tried to think
as the tears I cried slid down the sink.

From afar you missed your home,
as my hair my hands did comb.
From afar I quietly waited
as my heart and head mitigated.

From afar I saw your return
as my heart continued to yearn.
Through many battled you had walked,
but by my heart you had been stalked.

you had walked through snow, rain and tar
as I had loved you from afar.
