Mother I Am Here But Far Away

Reaching to the heart.

Mother I see you weeping I feel your pain
I can not reach across to hold you and calm you
Perhaps my words can reach you if i send them again and again
Mother know that I was loved and did indeed know it.

Mother wipe your tears reach out for a hug from someone near
think of me in the twilight I will be near but far away
You gave me life you gave me love and all that I grew to hold dear
I found my path in life and yet you were never far away

Your hear aches your eyes are clouded with tears
so too the others around you they need you so much
they need your strength your love all that endears
be strong for me be strong for them.. be the crutch
they lean on be there for them hold them for I no longer can
That is why you are left behind to comfort them for me.

In the wind in the breeze hear my voice hear me
I am near but I am far away
Mother know this in your heart of hearts.. believe me
You are the one to help them live thru this horrible day
guide them love them be patient and caring
Just be you loving and sharing.

Mother this I ask of you be strong be loving be true
be the one to hold my loved ones and ease the pain
Why why yes I hear you why your son why he and not you
because death has no rhyme nor reason it just happens again and again

Breaking hearts and leaving a void a space just nothing
memory's sounds smells but no one to hold close
I am here but I am far away
