Mr. Mean: The Gym Teacher

There was a gym teacher by the name of Mr. Mean.

We have a gym teacher,
His name is Mr. Mean.
He's the most awful person
That I have ever seen.
From the moment you walk
Into his spacious gym.
You know that he'll work you
From limb to limb.
Run around the gym
Ten times or more.
That's just the beginning
For what he has in store.
Fifty jumping jacks to start,
Thirty push ups as well.
Seventy-five sits for good measure,
Makes you feel like you're in hell.
And then he'll make you lift
Twenty-five pound weights.
He says that he's doing this
So that we will be in shape.
Mr. Mean doesn't care
If you're exhausted in the end.
He'll just say, “Exercise is good for you.”
And he'll repeat it again and again.
For the rest of the gym class
We'll play all kinds of games.
And you'd better give good effort,
Or Mr. Mean will put you to shame.
I'm glad when gym class is over,
I'm feeling more physically fit.
But I'm sore from head to toe,
And it's difficult for me to sit.
