My Girl

A sad, vanity piece that's pretty self-explanatory.

her heart and soul
so young and sweet

she is active and fun
she loves everyone

her smiles and dimples
and curly brown hair

a beautiful child who
would dare

her innocense lost
her mind all astray

her self esteem is all gone
and her friends went away

i fight for her each and every day
but little girl lost can't find her way

her hopes and her dreams
all shattered and broke

not much help from the
police or town folk

i fought and fought to
to get my girl back

a piece of her is gone she
will never get back

and she is older now
still struggling to keep on track

trying to forget memories of the past
my girl lost her teen years and had
to grow up fast

now i know that she can see
everything she means to me.
