My Son

My son, he's my little serendipity and what is most important in my life. I wonder what he will be when he grows up.

My little serendipity
My precious prodigy
My oh my how time flies by
4 years old and filled with life
I can't help but sit and wonder
What your future may hold
Endless possibilities
All within your reach
What will you become someday
Maybe you'll be someone's hero
A soldier, a fireman or a doctor
The way you sing and dance
Around the house and in the car
Maybe you'll become a musician
You watch sea life on You Tube
Draw pictures of sharks and whales
Maybe you'll be a marine biologist
You get so ecstatic and
Your curiosity ignites
When we ride on the train
Will you be a locomotive engineer
Your choices are infinite
Take your time to figure it out
Keep learning… find your niche
Remember to have fun
And love what you do

I enjoyed it. obviously very personal, but that is what poetry is supposed to be. giving people a window into your soul. good job.
