Nature of Lovers

The wrong way.

They like you when you're dark
Alive
And stolen
He loves you when you're not available
He loves you when he's lonely
He loves all of the guilty pleasures
That you represent
She likes you for your money
She likes your useful nature
She loves your ideas
Because she's jealous of your intellect
Intertwined
This evil couple
Twisted together in fate
Doomed to be lovers
Though the apple is rotten
The seed still grows

Wow. An excellent poem about deception when it comes to romance, and loving someone for all the wrong reasons. Good job.
