Before Elizabeth could move the man had his arm around her waist and his hand over her mouth. “You will be coming back to England with us. We may not have all of the sisters. But we have you and your father will be so pleased that we have been able to get you unharmed.”
With that he started dragging her away from the rest of the men as the fighting continued. Once he got her to the horse she had fought him so much that he hit her and knocked her out. “Now you will be a little easier to handle.” He tied her hands and her feet and then tied her to the horse. One of his men approached him and said that they where loosing the fight and they had better get out of there now while they had the chance. They both got on there horse's and headed out.
“They are gathering up the injured Laird, but we cannot find Elizabeth. I have found Daniella and Sherrilynn and they say that they left BJ at the castle with Melissa. But they do not know where Elizabeth is. Sherrilynn is taking care of Ian at the moment. She said that he will be alright but is going to have to take it easy for a few days. She suggest that we have someone take him back to the castle. But he is fighting her because he wants to go look for Elizabeth. He has pretty much made up his mind Laird, and I do not think we will be able to talk him out of this.”
“I will go and talk to him Marcus. If you would question the injured men and find out who sent them and if they did take Elizabeth, where they would take her too. I want the information Marcus, and I don't care how you get it.”
“Yes Laird.”
Paul walked over to where Sherrilynn was tending to the injured. Ian was asleep in a clearing on a blanket. He just stood there looking at his son for a while before we went to talk to Sherrilynn. She had the men in two different lines. One for minor injuries and the other for those that needed more attention. The ones that where minor he found Daniella taking care of them. While Sherrilynn took care of the more serious injuries. “Sherrilynn, may I talk with you for a moment.”
Sherrilynn used the sleeve of her blouse to wipe her forehead. “I will be with you in a moment sir.”
“I will be over by Ian when you are through.”
Sherrilynn did not even look up but nodded her head. And that is where she found him after she had finished with her last patient. Daniella had come with her to see Paul.
“He is going to be alright sir. I gave him something to make him sleep for awhile. Rest is the best medicine right now for his injury. He does not need to be up on a horse or fighting for that matter. But I do not believe that we are going to be able to talk him out of going to England to get Elizabeth. I am sure that is where she has been taken. Joseph is most displeased with Elizabeth more then any of the rest of us. He will use her to get to the rest of us. He knows that we will go back to England because that is where he has taken her. And that is what Daniella and I plan on doing sir. Of course we would like to leave Betty Jo at the castle. She is still to young for him to want to use her. But I am sure that once she is of age he will come after her as well.”
“Why did the three of you follow us? Did I not tell you all that you where to stay at the castle? If you had this would not have happened and Elizabeth would be safe right now instead of being dragged back to England.”
Daniella didn't mean to but she lost her temper at this point. “If we had not come both Marcus and Ian would be dead, along with several others of your warriors. Elizabeth and I saved there lives sir. So you should be thankful that we came along instead of staying at the castle. As for that, Sherrilynn and I will go back to England and get Elizabeth. It may take us some time, but we will escape again. None of us are afraid of Joseph. We have been through his tempers and his fist before. It is nothing that we are not aware of or will run from.”
