Chasey ran towards the fiery light as if a herd of buffalos were charging her into the corner of the room. A moment ago she had been just a normal teenager living her life through teenage angst and self-unimportance. Stereotyped as an Emo, Chasey received varied amounts of criticisms and was expected to be suicidal from the moment she put on her thick black eye makeup to the moment she removed her pink starry conversers at night.
Chasey had been a shy quiet dignified girl until she fell in with the so called ‘wrong crowd’ at school. As time moved on she began experimenting with class A drugs, staying out late after being specifically told not to by her mentally ill mother and just caused continual havoc and worry to everyone involved with her. Things came to a head when she met a young man who promised her the world but instead left her bruised, hurt and soiled.
I felt that because of what happened to Chasey later in her life, someone should write her story from a non-judgmental point of view.
Having just turned sixteen and meeting a new group of people at College, Chasey turned her valued educational attention to partying and her newly formed social life. In order to fit in she felt that imitating the other more popular people of her peer group was the best way forward. So at her first ‘adult’ gathering when some white powder wrapped in foil was passed around the group, Chasey ignored any qualms she had and carefully copied the others in dabbing the cocaine on her gums. After feeling a sensation quite unlike any other Chasey had had before, her heart began pounding and the feeling of being alive began to flail. Chasey’s first ever comedown resulted in her being rushed to hospital and discovering she had a serious defect in her pulmonary vein. She disclosed this to only three people who made sure that Chasey came to no harm over the next few months.
The turning point occurred in Chasey’s life when she met a young man whilst in her local bar. After pretending she was eighteen and using a fake identification; he took her to an underground club known as a drugs haven. Unfortunately the friends she had warned about her life threatening illness were not on hand to prevent any such occurrences from happening. The young man took her through drugs to heights previously unknown to her. She went from an almost healthy sixteen year old, to a drug-using smack head. Her behaviour became distorted and she lost many friends due to her unfortunate habit.
I tried to speak to her about this once and she took me for a ride. I truly believed that Chasey would improve. I never trusted this young man, no matter how many times she tried to convince me that he was the most reliable person she had in her life. I would like to say that that person was me but unfortunately it was not. I deserted her just like her friends and family and she was left to cope with this drug addiction alone. I regret so much and just think of how she or even I for that matter could have handled things better.
One day Chasey met a girl quite similar to her, in opinions and in looks. She started to see her more and more and never visited the young man. Things came to a head when one day Chasey forgot herself and became entangled in to a deep passion of lust with this girl. Unfortunately the young man had wondered whereabouts Chasey had disappeared to and had discovered the address of the young maiden that Chasey was involved with. After discovering an open window he climbed through and watched the entire performance, occasionally taking photographic evidence. Within a few weeks Chasey was receiving mysterious phone calls and bizarre emails. She spoke to me about this and i often wondered if it was the young man. It was.
Things quietened down until Chasey was walking home after work with her lady friend and she heard a loud noise erupt from behind. All of a sudden her friend let out a piercing scream as she was dragged away kicking and screaming. Chasey ran as fast as she could away from the attacker who was currently still holding on to her friend. Then the screaming stopped and dripping noises were heard, and Chasey knew her friend was dead. She called me instantly knowing that i would be the first to help her no matter how abandoned i felt. It was whilst i was on the phone to her giving her directions to a ‘Safe House’ that i heard her be murdered, i heard her last words and i heard her scream.
After investigating the two murders, the police determined that both girls had had their throats violently slit open in a struggle. They needed my help to identify the killer. My thinking was that it was Chasey’s ex who did the killing; after searching through his house the police discovered pictures of the two women murdered in bed together. However just as enough evidence was found to convict the young man of the crimes, his body was discovered along with two bottles of pills. He knew that the police would discover it was him and was not prepared to go to prison. Both were dead and i knew they would meet up again in Hell.
