The Fly and the Bee

All about a fly and a bee. Fun and entertaining for kids.

Today the sky was blue and the sun was shinning it was summer time and all the kids were out to play. The kids down the block were playing a game of softball and the kids on the other end of the street were playing in the neighbor pool, lots of laughing and singing. some kids were playing on the sidewalk walking and talking.

Oris was very awkward he wore glasses to big for his face and never able to walk or run with out stumbling and falling, he was always a little different. He never did fit in but he always wanted to do all the things he saw the other kids doing. Oris wondered why he couldn't play softball or go swimming with out getting hurt. So often he would end up alone playing around watching everyone else.

One day while Oris was playing alone he notice a new kid playing alone on the sidewalk drawing pictures alone, she was so beautiful to Oris she had golden hair fair skin and dressed in a pink summer dress with flowers and a bee. The other kids ran around her never asking her to play. Then one little boy ran by and stepped on her pictures and she began to cry. Oris started over to her to ask her if she was okay but he stumbled and fell and all the other kids began to laugh. So Oris got up and went home.

The next day when all the kids were outside playing, Oris noticed the same little girl playing alone, he decide that he should go over to say hi, but as he got up to go over he noticed she was gone.

The next day his mom told him there was going to be a block party for all the kids in the neighborhood and she was taking him to town to buy him a new outfit for the block party. Oris was not excited because he didn't dance and the kids were not so nice to him so he didn't want to go. His mom was excited and said, he would meet new friends and told him he would have fun.

The day of the block party came and Oris was trying his best to think of everything not to go, his stomach ache. His mom only smiled and helped him dress in his new shirt with the fly on the front and shorts and sandals for the block party. After everyone in his family was dressed his mom grabbed his hand and they all went out the door down the block and saw all the families coming together to the big tables with all kind of food. All the kids playing ball, playing in the pool, dancing to the music everyone seemed so happy. Oris looked over in the corner by the swings and there she was wearing a yellow sun dress with flowers and a bee on her dress. He let his mom's hand go and with his heart pounding loud and his stomach bubbling he made his way over to he swing without stumbling or falling.

Oris made his way over to the swing set and stood near the swing and said Hi but the little girl just kept on swinging and he thought maybe I didn't say it out loud, I'll try it again. As he looked up at the girl on the swing going back and forth he cleared his throat , the swing got slower and then stopped and she looked at him and smiled and he smiled back. she stopped the swing and got off and stood facing Oris he couldn't remember what to say so he just kept smiling and finally he said your dress have a Bee on it and she nodded yes and laugh and said your shirt have a fly on it and he smiled and said yes.

"We are the Fly and the Bee" Oris said. they laughed and played on the swing.
