I had decided one day that I was bored and that I wanted to go hunting. I didn’t want to go alone so I invited my friends to go along with me. We had to decide were to go and what kind of weapons we would have to use. We had all agreed on going to an African safari to have a wide variety of choices for animals to kill.
In order to go to the African safari we would have to pay a lot of money to get there. We would have to book a plane, get a tour guide, buy ammunition, and get camping supplies. The airfare cost would be $1000 for each person. The tour guide would cost about $200 for each night and $50 for each person. Since we got to Africa late that night we had to get a room in a hotel. We only got one room because we needed to save all the money we could.
The next day we started our hunt, but since we weren’t allowed to bring firearms on the plane we had to rent guns which made it so we had even less money. We had to go to the tour guide’s house to get him up so we could leave. We got in his truck and we drove off to the safari. There was a nice view of the sunrise because there aren’t any power lines or houses to block it. We drove by a pack of lions as they woke up. They looked fierce and I had asked the tour guide to start driving a little faster because I was getting a little nervous. The tour guide finally got to the site where we would set camp and start hunting. We all got our guns out and took a couple practice shots and then got our ammo and were off to start the hunt. The guide told us to watch out for certain kinds of animals like lions, cheetahs, jaguars, and jackals. He told us to watch out for them because they are the most fierce ones. They can run faster than you and they love to eat meat.
We were walking around for hours and hours and there was no sign of any animals. The tour guide was leading the way so if anything would happen he would be the first victim. We stumbled upon some cheetah tracks but didn’t see anything. We kept a sharp eye out because they looked like they were fresh and it could be anywhere. A couple minutes later the guide told us to stop because he thought he heard something, so we all stopped and got our guns ready. Then the next thing you know there is cheetah jumping on the guide. The guide is getting torn to pieces. We all take our guns off safety and start shooting at the cheetah. The cheetah is dead and so is the guide. There are two goods things about that. We won’t have to pay the tour guide and we got our first kill of the day. By the end of the day we had killed three antelopes and one that cheetah. We headed back to the camp site and we ran into a pack of cheetahs. We were all scared, so we just stood still and if they came near us we would all start shooting. It took five minutes for the cheetahs to go away. We got back to the camp site and started to cook up some food. We had a big dinner of antelope and some baked beans. We went to bed because we knew we would have a long morning ahead of us. We woke up early so we could get packed because without the tour guide we didn’t want to go hunting, so we took his truck and headed back to town. We got there returned the guns and took off to go back home.
We got back home and had the meat from when we hunted and had a big neighborhood barbeque. We invited everyone that wanted to come. Everyone enjoyed all the food and we all had a good time.
