16 people.13 of them adults and 3 teenagers. A day in the life of one of the most dangerous hobbies ever.................................Off-roading.11 of them men, the other 5 women. How will they cope when disaster strikes on the off-road course, and no ones there to help them.
"Right we will have to separate you into two groups as you are such a big group to go round together." The looks on there faces when the owner of the course said that. The two teenagers looked at the adults and then at the floor, the owner spoke once more. "Right OK then can CC, Jim, Dew, Marc, Nigel, Janet, Chrissi and Sarah in one group then Rusty, Chris, Johnnie, Johnty, Tommy, Rovette, Richard and Helen" The couples that had been separated looked at there other half's in shock.
Chrissi stood up and walked towards CC and the rest of the group. "So who am I hopping in with?" CC looked at her and shrugged.” You could hop in with me if you wanted. Nigel and Dew are hopping in with Jim and Janet is going with Marc, I'm taking Sarah and have a spare couple of seats so hop in with me." Chrissi looked at him and sighed.” Fine then, I'll hop in with you.” She looked back at the other group and waved at them.
Tommy rose and looked back at the other group and waved at his mum. Sarah waved back as he began to turn to head towards his group.” So who's going with whom?" Johnnie looked at Tommy "Well you're coming with me, Johnty and Helen are going in the same car and Chris is going alone as is Rusty and Rovette is hopping in with Richard." Tommy looked at Johnnie ,then headed towards the landy and looked to the side as he saw Chrissi waving,he waved back at her just as he was nearly out of the door.
Chrissi was sat looking through the window of the Crewcab out into the fog. CC had tried to put on his lights but he had, had no luck in doing so Sarah was frowning at CC as he hit something in the fog. "CC! We better turn back before you get us killed!" "I have a good sense of direction I would never put you two in a dangerous situation!" Chrissi looked at the floor and she could see it. The tyres were right near the edge and if CC turned in any direction the landy would go over. "CC don't make any sudden movements with the Land Rover. Be very very careful." They had hit some slippy and rocky road which slided the front of the Land Rover down the slope and it speeded up. CC slammed his foot on the brakes and the Land Rover wheels were screeching but showed no signs of stopping. "Quickly you two out the car!" Chrissi had jumped out before CC had even finished the sentence, she was rolling fast down the hill and tried putting out her hands to slow herself down but it grazed her hands badly. She rolled down to the near bottom then off the edge onto the second slope, she squeezed her eyes shut as she heard the Land Rover rolling after them. She stuck her hand out before she hit the sheer drop. She was looking down the sheer drop as she started to pass out. Sarah had jumped out seconds after Chrissi and was rolling down the hill at high speeds she shut her eyes as the dust started flying everywhere, she daren't put her hands out but she had quickly begun to slow down. She stopped right at the edge of the first slope as she heard the wheels of the Land Rover screech behind her. The Land Rover came to an abrupt stop at the edge of the first slope just 3 feet away from Sarah.
CC had watch as Chrissi and Sarah jumped out of the Land Rover. He slammed his foot on his break and pulled on the hand brake, he gripped tightly on the steering wheel and watched where the Land Rover was going. He saw Sarah laying on the edge of the slope as his Land Rover came to abrupt halt. He sat in his seat for a couple of seconds then looked out of the window again. Wait a minute....Where's Chrissi she was in the car then jumped out and Sarah followed. CC flung his door open and lept out, he ran round the back of his Land Rover towards Sarah. "Sarah where's Chrissi?did you see her? Sarah have you seen her?" Sarah shook her head. CC jumped up and looked down into the fog below; he pressed his sides of his hands to the corners of his mouth. "CHRISSI!!!!CHRISSI WHERE ARE YOU?CHRISSI!" Sarah lept up after him and looked down, the fog quickly darkened as Sarah eyes quickly scanned the quilt of Grey for any sign of Chrissi. CC ran back to his Land Rover and grabbed his CB. "Hello? Anyone there? We need help; we slipped down at the slippy rocks."
