The sunglasses put the girl on

A story about a girl who lived to hide.

When she was young, still producing her first baby steps, she often felt injustice for herself. She grew up with teachings that made her believe the world was actually good and kind. But alas, the world pointed at her and laughed at her innocence. Hurt, she sought refuge and relief in a deserted vastness where no one could see her cry. But one day, she stopped going there.

It was then, she understood that it was okay to cry, as long as she was wearing her sunglasses.

No one could see that she was crying. No one could see her sad and blue eyes. And no one would question why she wore it, regardless it was rain or shine.

When she was old, producing slow breaths on her bed, she often felt injustice for the world. She grew old with teachings that made her believe the world was actually bad and cruel. But alas, the world pointed at her and laughed at her already wasted life. No longer could she seek refuge and relief in a vastness she had neglected all that time.

It was then that she understood that it was okay to cry, as long as she was wearing her sunglasses.

No one could see that she had cried. No one would have seen her sad and grey eyes. And no one questioned why she wore it, even when she died.
