The place was not that special; a simple cubical white building sitting next to an insignificant street filled with potholes and ditches. The dust coupled with the dense humidity bore down on his lungs. Wishing he had stayed in the cab he walked into the atrium. The structure was even simpler from inside than from outside, efficiency stagnated the air around. Even the cool atmosphere seemed to be carefully calculated with a dead on accuracy.
The massive walls were painted a faint off-white; no paintings, no windows except maybe the huge pane of glass that took up 10% of the middle part of the ceiling and no feeling of relaxation, just the satisfaction of knowing that you are at work and are expected to do nothing but spend endless hours of paid slave work. Trying his hardest to look as cold cut as his surroundings he approached the single person in the mammoth hall. This was a woman, if everything else was weird that she was like something out of space.
