Here is a list of things that we encounter, but often take for granted... so take a moment to again be mesmerized by the wonder of their simplicity.
- Kittens and puppies - They love unconditionally
- Baby's first ...
- Warm summer rains - The smell and the way that they feel upon bare skin
- Indian Summers
- Leaves changing colors in autumn
- Blowing bubbles
- Building forts out of blankets and flat sheets in the kitchen table
- Afternoon naps - Right after some milk and cookies!
- Splashing in a mud puddle - Because mom always said don't splash in the bath tub..
- Making snow angels
- When the younger generations bring you fresh, handpicked flowers - From YOUR own garden
- Farmer's markets
- Sunday brunches
- Hot coco and baking cookies on snow days
- When children try to save every stray animal or insect on the planet
- Rays of sunshine breaking through winter clouds
- Visiting museums and learning about history - First hand and through hand me down tales, not textbooks!
- Sledding and building snowmen on snow days
Despite most of these things being directly associated with being a child, I can't remember a time when these things *didn't* make me happy. Hopefully you'll be able to share in my joy!
