Fear of Media: Lies or Truth?

Most people believe what they see or hear. The media has a responsibility to be honest without causing more problems.

All my life! Yes, this is one of my favorite sayings. All my life I have had access to media. When I was young, the soaps seemed so real. I was addicted to them. They influenced my life in a very negative way, even to the point of breaking up my marriage.  Knowing bad news sells, this is how so much money is made-off other's misery. If I did not participate in an event, how can I judge the ones who are involved? I cannot, yet I am human and enjoy "getting my two cents in." Taught how to read a newspaper in school, just what are they teaching now? Comics, perhaps? School needs to use experienced media and other teachers.

How could one teach another how to be a doctor if he or she just graduated from Medical school? Personally, I am all for any medium of media. Communication is very important. True and correct communication. In today's world with so many dialects and differing languages, this is made all the more difficult. Improper communications break up families and Nations. Past events are worth knowing about when it is "factual history." Living in the past does not help. Putting fear on humans or animals, when there is no need, is never warranted. Today as we clean our ovens, if we are fortunate to have one, we remember how many times our Mothers, not fathers, labored over a hot stove and oven to see that their children would eat. Yes, we must eat to live and our bodies are what we eat. What is eating you?

The media - especially newspapers - push what sells.. train wrecks sell!

We have to change our thinking if we want change. Concentrating and reading only negative brings about more negative becuase it seems that is what we want.
