Everyone around me is having or has had a baby. Since I have gotten married, I have wanted a baby and so far in the two years (Four years if you count the two we weren't married!) we have been together, I am childless. Not by choice mind you, we have just had a bad stretch lately. For one, we both were in full time jobs and couldn't see having a baby without being home and now we have both left full time jobs we cant afford to have a baby. We also moved out of my husband's family's house and then back in on account of the neighbors (never live next to backpackers), so we now have to put all our money into buying a house. And then there is our business- we run our own photography business called virtual memories- so we still don't have the time or the money to have a baby.
My sister-in-law has just had her third and my other sister-in-law is pregnant with her first and I here want a baby and can't have one. Yes I know I am being a big whiner, but you have NO IDEA how much I want to have a baby… although you may have a pretty good idea by the time you finish reading this. Last year I bought a baby blanket and some little clothes that where so cute- this was when I thought we were going to be able to have a baby- and then we weren't so I gave them all to my sister-in-law for the new baby. I do love kids, I have kind of adopted the 8 year old from up the road and she comes here a lot, but it's not the same as having your own is it?
It also doesn't help that I specialize in baby photos and children's portraits in my business either, seeing those kids all of the time just makes me want my own that much more. Then I think I've got plenty of time, I mean I am only 21 turning 22 and I do want a house and I do want my business financially secure before I bring a baby into the world. After all I want the best for any children I do have… Never mind I'll have a baby before I get too old I hope!
