The day started with a regular glass of juice, some toast and my favourite sugary doughnuts. Yes, I pop one in every morning. I know its not advisable, but hey, if people can get addicted to cigarettes and booze, doughnuts are a safer bet.
It was one of those days when I was feeling all philosophical. Questioning the meaning of life, color of vegetables, taste of blood (oh relax, I was in my senses), stereotypes and all that jargon. Lets face it, gender equality doesn't exist in every sphere and men (thanks to patriarchy) continue to have that slight edge over women. Thats when it hit me. What if i were a boy? What are the things i'd miss out on or gain?
Just like most of the hormonally charged teenagers, I should have had bigger issues to think about on my birthday. And by "bigger" I mean boys, and "issues" I mean more boys. But instead, I sat down to chalk out the things that I'd have/not have...if I were a boy-
1. Wouldn't have to worry about shaving my legs every morning.
2. No bad hair day. Ever.
3. No manicures/pedicures/eyebrows/threading/tweezing/cleansing/waxing/etc etc etc
4. No makeup
5. I'd get paid more. There, i said it.
6. I'd pee ANYWHERE i'd want to. The world would be my urinal.
7. No pregnancy
8. No random mood swings
9. A ton load of savings (no lingerie expenses)!
And the best part-
NO MORE PMS
But despite all the things, nothing beats owning a pair of red hot heels, a georgette cocktail dress and boys hovering around to kiss the birthday girl! If thats what it takes to be a girl, then consider me pink to the core!
P.s: Ladies, what would you do if you were a boy for a day!?
