I will be the school paper adviser. I doubt it. For all I know, there are better English or Filipino language teachers around me. But what can I do? My principal has pointed her fingers at me already.
As we went along, I was still convincing myself to assume the position. Later, I realized that this was a challenge that I must accept and a responsibility that I must work on.

After interminable panic, practice, and pressure, the time had come. We went ahead, competed, and waited for the awarding ceremonies. Miraculously, we bagged the Best in Sports Page award.
Out of twelve awards, five for the group contests and seven for the individual contest, we copped one. I was hurt but nobody cared. I could not blame anybody except myself because I was the school paper director and whatever happened was 99 percent my responsibility. But at least, I learned a lesson. It is not just a matter of involving myself in what I am doing, but committing myself to everything that I do to achieve what I dream and aspire for.
