Here are a few more of the random thoughts that rattle around in my brain. Please keep in mind that I underwent brain surgery less than six months ago, and I'm not sure if my neurosurgeon found all of the loose wires.
- People often say "Flattery will get you nowhere." But I have observed that where ever flattery might get you is usually a place that you have no business being.
- If you are searching for truth, don't look within yourself. You're the one who is confused.
- My wonderfully well-behaved children only fight when they are awake and together, so I've told them that our family needs to update from the Golden Rule to the Platinum Rule: do unto others as Jesus would do for you.
- Children have so much energy! Doesn't it seem a bit unfair that those who have the most energy are the ones with the least responsibility?
- I recently read a statistic that five out of every four Canadians are bad at math.
- Could some computer viruses be started by doctors who are tired of patients who bring in reams of computer print-outs of health information that they have found on the internet? And they would likely get very annoyed if patients come in insisting that they have caught a computer virus.
- I've heard that ginkgo Bilbo is supposed to help people who have trouble remembering things. I'm just wondering if people with bad memories would remember to take the ginkgo Bilbo.
- Isn't it a pain when you are looking for your glasses but you can't find your glasses because you need your glasses to see where your glasses are?
- I noticed that there was a warning label on a bottle of sleeping pills which read: "Caution - may cause drowsiness."
- And then a bottle of pain medication had the same warning, "Caution - may cause drowsiness", but it added "Alcohol may increase this effect." Since I was taking the pain medication to help me sleep, I asked the pharmacist if I ought to be taking it a glass of wine.
- Speaking of medications, I had to take back a prescription for arthritis medication because I couldn't open the child safety cap.
- I have to be very careful to take my Parkinson's medication on time, or else my hands will be shaking so badly that I can't take the medication.
- How do you suppose a psychiatrist would treat someone who is addicted to therapy?
