I have been thinking of starting a commune for the Arts here in California. I thought about this a while and I don't mean "commune" in the hippie sense. I am talking about a haven,devoted to the pursuit of the arts and development of new artistic/literary movements.
I realize this idea may not be a completely new one,but I have been known to be innovative. I have noticed since I have been here that there are many artistic souls, so I figure why not give them a creative outlet.
I have dreamed of creating an artistic community since I was young. I think there are many more people that may be open to the idea,if I am right then feel free to let me know. When I say artists community I am talking about what many art students have attempted to create over the years on campuses across the country.
I believe if there was a colony for the arts in California,it would give artists from all over a place to release their innate gifts with helpful creative inspiration from likeminded people. A melting pot of creative energies concentrated into a common locale. A campus type setting without the "school" feel.
I am very open to others ideas as well, thanks for any input you all may have
