Past, Present, and Future

This is a topic that cannot be proved or disproved.

I realized something today. As you are reading this article, or as I am typing it, it all happens in the present. WWI and WWII happened in the present years ago. Nothing has happened in the past, due to the fact that there is no such thing as the past. I was to say that the dinosaurs died out in the past, I would be incorrect because they died in the present, millions of years ago. Where am I going with this? Well if everything happened in the present, then there is no such thing as the past.

The past has never happened. Because when it happened, it was the present. There is no way to access the past, like there is way to access the present because we can do nothing to NOT access it. Even in death, we died in the present, and we remain in the present. Our bodies may never be seen again, or they may decompose back into the earth, but we are still in the present. Therefore if the past does not exist, then the future cannot.

The future is what we say is going to happen. But it exists even less then the past. At least we can read what happened hundreds of years ago, but we cannot read the future. Saying that you will go to the store tomorrow does not mean that you will. Therefore meaning that there is no future for that idea. If indeed you do go to the store, then you go in the present, and not in the future, meaning that there is no future.

My final point is that we do not have a set destiny. How could we? In order to have a set destiny a everything would have to happen in the future, because if it did not, then we would change it in the present. Which brings up the point that there is no future, meaning that we can change our destiny because the future does not exist. Confusing huh? This article was created to cause discussion.
