Prostitution

Legal or not to be legal

In the USA prostitution is for the most part illegal. In other countries such as Amsterdam and other parts of the world, it is legal. Why is it a crime if it’s between two consenting adults and yes money is exchange but what makes it a crime? Is there a difference from picking up a stranger at a bar and buy drinks for them and than do a one night stand, the only difference might be, you didn’t have too pay for it.

Maybe it should be legal and put a tax on it and of course make sure the people participating in the act are of age. If it were legal in some countries where it is illegal now, it could be a huge profit and give it too the poor cities that could use the funds for important things like education, work, homes and things among those lines. Is it illegal in some parts of the world simply because it is not accepted or people see it as dirty and disgusting? If Its for drugs or booze, than yea its bad and harmful behavior and if the person does not protect themselves and again its risky behavior, but how bad would it be if the person hung out at bars looking for one night stands.

Is there really a difference?
