Regret is a Wasted Emotion

Often times people allow what could have become of a situation to cripple them from moving forward with their lives. This article encourages people to let go of regret, to learn from the experience, and move past it.

Regret is a wasted emotion. It is a feeling that usually causes a person to relinquish their life, love, happiness, or spirit to a person or an event who is not worthy of the thought put into them. It is important to realize that unpleasant things happen. Getting hung up on unfortunate events can cause a person to remain stagnant rather than moving on to the possibilities of a full and beautiful life.

I believe that at some point in life everybody has regretted something. The thing that keeps that keeps a regretful person from becoming a hollow shell of a person is deciding that they will not allow past mistakes, people, or damaged relationships to determine the final destination of their life. When experiencing regret, remember that your life only will go where you take it and people will only do to you what you allow them to do. Be strong and take control of your life. You have nothing to lose but sorrow, regret and you have nothing but beautiful blessings to gain.

Rather than spending time thinking about what could have been or should have been; concentrate on how to improve your life. There is nothing that a person can do about a missed opportunity, but there are always ways to create new opportunities. Continue moving forward only looking back to remember where you came from. Always be thankful for the positive things that occur in life and learn from the negative things. Do not allow regret to cause your life to pass you by.
