Sexual Predators

Are they in your neighborhood?

How many are in your area?  All I know is having children of my own,  this worries me more than I can say. I heard on the news that notifications would be arriving in the mail to alert us of predators in the area and after living in this area for 1 year and my boyfriend for 3 year we finally received one.  To my surprise he lived on the same street just a few houses down.  A few weeks later we received another one,  he lived just one street over.  This caused me to get online to check for any more.  Turns out there are nearly 30 just in my zip code alone!  Now these records are supposed to be public,  but if I wanted the addresses and names,  I would have to pay money. This enraged me to no end but I would eventually break down and pay since they were only asking for around $12.00.  But I thought it was our right to view this so why are they holding back information?  They'll tell how many are in the area,  but that's it.  Guess what that's not enough for me,  how about you? And only two notifications in the mail...where are the rest?  After all, they at least give the necessary  info we need to protect our children.
