Manga is a type of Japanese drawing of people with swords and beams and everything of the type. Manga actually means comic in Japanese. So what exactly is Shonen Jump? Shonen Jump is basically 2-3 chapters (40-75 pages) of 7 or 8 different manga every month, and it only costs $4.99 per issue! That's $4.99 a month for over 350 pages of action and laughs in every issue. If you subscribe it is actually less than $3.00 an issue. I am a subscriber myself. Some of you may know some of the titles from the anime (anime is Japanese for manga TV show).
The most popular Shonen Jump title ever is Naruto. Another one that is kind of popular in America is Yu Yu Hakusho. A few of them have just started airing the anime, for example, Hikaru No Go. The others that are serialized monthly are Yu-Gi-Oh! GX, Bo-bo-bo bo-bo-bo-bo, One Piece, and there is always a sneak preview of a manga volume coming out soon.
