Early Sunday morning, a green Infinity was cruising along down Westhemier towards 7900 Old Farm Road. The car consisted of 4 Khazakhstanians two guys and two girls, who all go to Houston Community College Central Campus. The two males sat in the front while the two girls sat in the back. They were racing two other cars when the Infinity driver lost control of the car and crashed onto the sidewalk. The car also crashed against a water hydrant, a pole, and the utility box before ejecting one of the girls out the car. She lay there on the street lifeless. When the police arrived, the two girls were dead at the scene and the two guys were seriously injured. They were sent to Ben Tuab Hospital in Houston Texas.
One of the girls, Ainur Nutifyeva, 19 years old, was one of the most bubbly person I have ever met. Her smart, and funny personality just lit the room when she walked in. I was always jealous of her, wondering why she is so happy, so pretty, and just so smart. Everything seemed so right in her life. But all that was lost in one night. I used to be so jealous of her, but how can I say that I am jealous of her now? Jealous of how she is able to escape from this world? No.
On Thursday, November 13, 2008, in my one o' clock class, we had a presentation. We had to choose our own partners, and I asked Ainur if she would like to be my partner. She agreed immediately and we worked on our presentation. She started the presentation and I ended it. She was absolutely flawless.
Then today, Tuesday, November 18, 2008, I heard the news that two students from our HCC campus was killed in an accident on Westheimer early Sunday morning. One of the guy in the class said that it was two Khazakhstanian girls. I immediately thought of her and her friend Aisha*(name has been changed). Then I had a second thought. I thought that it couldnt be them and that it must be one of their friends. So I went through class feeling nothing. Then, when i enterd my one o' clock class, the professor announced that one of our classmates passed away this weekend. I looked at the room and noticed that Ainur and Aisha* were nowhere to be found. I was hoping that it was not them. However, my professor said Ainur passed away in an accident and that they were holding a memorial service for the two girls on Wednesday, November 19th 2008.
There are so many things that can happen that are so unpredictable. I wish life was much simpler. Ainur is the very first person I have ever interacted with and died. This is why I am so touched by her. Ainur I hope you rest in peace. May your souls lay undisturbed by this cruel cruel world. You have touched my soul and you will always be remembered by your friends and family.
