Well, from the constant yelling of “Stop the Olympics!” in many of the protests in Vancouver, I guess Vancouver is certainly not the best area to live in. 2010 Olympics is mainly the reason why Vancouver is not the city to live in. Many people will ask “How can the Olympics affect Vancouver?” Well, due to the Olympics, many affordable apartments in Vancouver are being renovated for the 2010 Olympics, trying to make a fortune, only for 2 weeks?
And guess what? Tenants are being abandoned, just because of the Olympics; they can’t rent anywhere else, because, those apartments were the only places they could afford. Now, tenants have to live on the streets, and become homeless, more and more people are becoming homeless, because of these Olympics. Homelessness makes Vancouver look embarrassing. Since, how could such a wonderful city have so many people living on the streets? A recent poll from CTV showed residents of Vancouver chose “homelessness” as their top priority in Vancouver at 24%. We see no end about homelessness in Vancouver.
