Recently, I've noticed how much teachers, the people who feed us knowledge, are treated so terribly. Personally, there's no way I could become a teacher because I've realized that there's no way I could stand up to being tortured everyday by those students who think school is just a social playground. Basically, it's pretty mean.
In geometry, we all sit there and try to pay attention, but how can we? Our teacher is pretty overweight and her clothes...well, they show things we don't want to see. I mean, if that happened to us, we'd get called to the office due to our clothing being a "distraction to the educational process." If it's not her clothes that are bothering us, it's her teeth, her weird facial expressions, her haircut, or...her face. Mean? Yes, of course. It's actually pretty terrible. If only looks didn't matter so much to any generation, especially mine.
I feel terrible for teacher's who get up and teach to a classroom full of kids who always look half asleep. All they're doing is trying to help US excel in high school so we can get a good job in our NEAR futures so maybe we can succeed in the life ahead. All we do is sit back and criticize.
Now, am I saying this will ever change? No. I'm not. These are just some things that I've noticed about how ungrateful us kids, as teenagers, are. I do think that maybe sometimes we go to far and we should refer back to that phrase our parents taught as kids, "respect your elders."
