You Can't Always Get What You Want

 There are some things in life that just seem to always elude your grasp. No matter how hard you try you just cant grab them, they just are a little bit too high. Have you ever had that happen to you? You work so hard and you fall just short but it is ever so far. Sometimes it is frustrating, you just want to lock yourself up alone, you want to shut yourself out. You imagine just locking yourself away with all things good and then out of frustration ripping the heads off all of your stuffed animals. This has happened to me before. One time in 6th grade when all I wanted was membership to a certain computer game. To get this though I had be on honor roll at school. In math class I had gotten three C+'s in a row on my report card though. Me and my dad decided to do something about it though. We stayed up endless hours at night studying and working. I knew I was going to get it that time when my math teacher was impressed when I suddenly got two A's on quizzes. We also tried to type my math homework to impress him more; we also showed him my math studying work so we knew he was impressed and so he knew that we were trying hard. I think it worked too because I got a B+ that quarter in math and I was so happy but I chose not to have the membership for the summer. I did this because my parents offered me a school year of membership if I got on honor roll the first quarter in school; so I took that so it was insured I was a member throughout 7th grade. I chose that because I didn't see my friends as much over the summer and I couldn't talk to them about it. I was also used to not being a member anyway. You know what they say, "There is a reward for patience." I also think this was a waste though since I got on honor roll all 4 times anyway that year. It just goes to show what happens when you want something really bad and you don't know whats going to happen.
