The word "miracle" is somewhat overused these days, but to watch the birth of a new life truly is to watch a miracle in action. Even now, some 20 years later (he is a six foot tall strapping lad now, and a wonderful human-being of whom I am terribly proud!) I cannot read this poem without my eyes filling-up with tears, and my heart with filling-up with the joy of the memory. It strips my heart bare.
